Mit dem einzigartigen Stil ihrer Fotos hat die Künstlerin Annie Bertram sich in den letztenJahren einen Namen gemacht und ist aus der Fotografenszene nunmehr kaum wegzudenken: Unter anderem verhalf sie populären Bands wie Blutengel, Scream Silence oder auch Terminal Choice zu einem ganz besonderen Layout ihrer Alben und ist bei großen Magazinen sowohl für die Titelbilder als auch für exklusive Fotostrecken zuständig.

Bereits 2004 veröffentlichte sie ihren ersten Bildband "Die Farben der Träume", welcher von großem Erfolg gekrönt war und internationale Anerkennung fand. In diesem Sommer können Kunstfreunde sich auf ein weiteres Highlight freuen -- Annie wird ihr zweites Buch "Wahre Märchen" herausbringen. Für ihre mystischen Fotografien standen dieses Mal unter anderem Musiker wie Chris Pohl und Constance von Blutengel an den verschiedensten Orten vor der Kamera, unter anderem entstanden einige Fotostrecken für das neue Buch im Garten von H.R. Giger.

Biography:
Annie Bertram's interest in photography was triggered by visiting a course in perspective drawing and structure at the Hochschule for graphics and book art in Leipzig, Germany. Annie's photography is an attempt to reveal what most fail to see - thoughts, feelings and destinies. Rather than merely photographing pretty faces, her pictures are an art of profundity and storytelling. Depending on the theme, they're either taken in her photo studio, in extraordinary, often morbid locations, or in mystical nature settings.Word quickly got around the Goth scene regarding her talent behind the lens. Soon, she received many requests for promo-shootings or CD-Booklet-Artworks for well-known bands like Blutengel,Terminal Choice, Unheilig, Staubkind and Metallspürhunde. She also made a name for herself by her concert-photography and numerous band photo shoots that have been published in magazines suchas Orkus, Zillo, or Gothic Beauty among others. Not long after, the name Annie Bertram became a trademark for ambitious creative art photography.The illustrated book "Die Farbe der Träume" ("The Colour of Dreams"), which was published in the spring of 2004 by Edition 42, marked the highlight of her career. The year 2005 also had its highlights for Annie Bertram. In February, her first exhibition in Stuttgart, Germany, took place. Besides this, she realized the "Oxidising Angel" Project for the German band Blutengel. She was responsible both for the visual and graphic concept as well as (naturally) for the photos. The German Gothic rock band Unheilig's CD "Moderne Zeiten" was the next project she took photos for and came up with the artwork conception. In 2006, she realized photo projects with the following bands: Blutengel, Unheilig & Project Pitchfork,Terminal Choice and Lost Area. In April and May, she was part of a group exhibition in Berlin at Strychnin Gallery. The next exhibition took place from August until September in Baden/Switzerland at Villa Boveri with the theme "Angels' perfume." In 2007, Annie Bertram organized several band promotion projects for Diary of Dreams "Nekrolog 43," Diorama "A different life," Blutengel "Lucifer" & "Labyrinth." She also shot cover photos for the
magazines "Gothic Beauty" (USA) and "Gothic Magazine" (DE).From December 2007 until January 2007, Annie had her first big international photo exhibition at Strychnin Gallery in London. She is currently working on a new book titled "Wahre Märchen" ("True Fairy Tales") which will be published August 18th, 2008.
